How much does a new bathroom cost in Staines-upon-Thames?+
Fit-only for a mid-range family bathroom typically £4k–£7k labour. Full supply-and-fit (mid-range suite, mid-range tiles): £8k–£14k. Higher spec with premium tiles, walk-in wet room, underfloor heating and premium sanitary ware: £14k–£25k+.
How long does a bathroom refit take?+
A straightforward like-for-like refit runs 8–12 working days. Full re-plan (moving WC, changing bath to walk-in, wet room build) 12–18 days. En-suites usually a few days quicker.
Do I need to be out of the house?+
Only if this is the only bathroom. Where there's a second bathroom or cloakroom, most clients stay in occupation through the works.
Can I have a wet room without a shower tray?+
Yes — either using a former (Impey, Wedi) with a factory-set fall to the gully, or a tiled floor built up on a screed with a manual fall of 1:60 to 1:80. Both fully tanked before tiling.
Do you supply the suite and tiles?+
Yes — through our trade accounts, or we happily install client-supplied ware if you've already chosen from Victoria Plum, Bathstore, John Lewis, a boutique showroom or a designer's spec.
How do you stop the silicone going mouldy?+
Fresh substrate, cleaned, primed where the manufacturer specifies, applied in one continuous run, tooled smoothly, and given full cure time before water hits it. Mould-resistant sanitary silicone is used as standard.
Do you handle Part P notification?+
Yes — bathroom electrical work is notifiable under Part P. Our NICEIC electrician notifies Building Control and issues the certificate as part of the handover pack.
